Who I am
I specialize in providing trauma informed therapy that is sensitive to your culture with a diverse focus on connecting your thoughts and feelings to your behavior and actions. I utilize treatment services that are inclusive and not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), approaches that explore your connections to formal and informal support systems, as well as family-oriented treatment that is inclusive of all those that are important to your mental health. These approaches aim to support and heal a variety of interpersonal challenges that may impact you or symptoms associated with life transitions, stress, depression, anxiety or trauma. I have a profound passion in providing therapeutic support to families and individuals that are currently or have experienced an adoption journey or connection with the LGBTQ+ community, as well as a migration journey. I work to provide you and your family with a safe and welcoming space that caters to your specific needs and that can easily be integrated in your daily social, familial, employment, or recreational life. One of my primary focuses as an independent mental health professional, is to continually learn and educate myself. I accomplish this by keeping up with current therapy research, training, and participating in consultive supervision with colleagues.
